© 2012 Jackie Hildering-043968 - Sea slug - the spotted aglaja. Most often is burrowed under sand so this was a great opportunity to photograph it. Head end is on the right  and note that one "tail / flagellum" is much longer than the other. Very little know about what it feeds on. Bet you it is predatory! Has a really interesting way of laying its egg mass, spinning it around its body and then pulling way. You may have even seen these egg masses on sandy beaches in the summer but there is a second aglaja species whose eggs look very similar. See link below.  Note that this sea slug is not a "nudibranch". Nudibranchs are sea slugs with naked gills. Aglaja ocelligera up to 2 cm.
