Welcome to the world of Jackie Hildering, Marine Detective.

A Marine Detective is what you get when you combine the skills and experiences of a biology teacher, scuba diver, nature photographer and marine mammal naturalist. Then, add a large dose of wanting to help empower positive environment action.

These photos are intended to help achieve that goal.

Come on in, down into the cold waters of the Northeast Pacific.

Annual WILD calendar : 2013 CALENDAR - My WILD Northern Vancouver Island calendar is meant to raise awareness about the incredible beauty and diversity of our marine environment (and our connection to it).

By purchasing the calendar, you are helping in raising that awareness and hopefully, positive action for the environment. If there are any profits, they are used to support my local humpback whale research with the Marine Education and Research Society.

The calendars are printed on sturdy paper, are coil bound and there is a hole to hang them. Each page is 12 x 18 inches .

For each calendar, the price is $24.95 CAN + shipping which is $4.00/calendar for Canada; $8.00/calendar to the USA; $16.60/calendar for international airmail; or $10.60/calendar for international surface mail.

They are mailed in a biodegradable, transparent plastic envelope.

They are sold locally at the West Coast Community Craft Shop (Port Hardy); Stubbs Island Whale Watching (Telegraph Cove); East of Java (Port McNeill); the Sointula Bistro (Sointula). Likely they will also be available at Coho Books (Campbell River).
